About Us:
 In 1992 Steve
& Connie Lambert, (pictured on left) created SkyScapes Balloon Tours to provide private flights
for families and couples. They lived in Orlando and their goal was to provide their passengers with a
personal touch, catering to you, rather than placing you in with another group.
Steve and Connie since have moved to
Anderson,
SC and started SkyScapes of America
and still offer balloon rides as well as travel all through out the country.
We
continue their tradition today.
SkyScapes
Balloon Tours is currently owned and operated by Jon & Sandy Thompson. We
are a "husband and wife" team and have been ballooning Jon is an FAA Certified Commercial Pilot with over 26
years of flying experience and has spent over 20 years on the road flying
balloons as advertising for major companies such as Pepsi, Kellogg's, AC-Delco,
General Motors Jose Cuervo and currently operates a balloon for the
Children's Miracle Network. We also have our junior crew of Austin
7 yrs old and
Audra 4.
Private
flights are available 7 days a week, weather permitting. Advance reservations
are required. Since we only schedule one flight per day, we recommend
booking when you have a date in mind to be sure the date you wish is open.
What
separates us from the other balloon companies? Our niche is as mentioned
above, Private Flights. This guarantees you and your party will be the only
passengers in the basket (aside from your pilot, of course!). You may find other
companies who carry several passengers in one basket (some up to
as many as 12 passengers) which makes a
"cozy flight of strangers". Private also refers to being just your
party in the chase vehicle to and from the launch and landing sites.
